TUNBRIDGE WELLS & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY DOG OF THE YEAR AWARDS CEREMONY – 12/12/23
Well that’s us done for Christmas now with the dogs. Took Phoebe to the Tunbridge Wells and District Canine society Dog of the Year competition and awards and blow me down if Snoopy and Phoebe didn’t go and win themselves the Rockaround Puppy of the Year (Snoop) and Reserve Puppy of the Year (Phoebe) awards!!
Snoopy wasn’t there with me to collect his and so Phoebe did the honours for her brother.
So bloody proud of these two pups. They’ve done so well this year and to have bred them both makes me even prouder with both by Elvis and out of Daisy and Luna.
Snoopy just makes my heart sing as he doesn’t even get to practice between shows as he lives with his other humans 99.9% of the time but always pulls it out the bag and makes us proud at shows…. Then there is Phoebe who is such a little show off and adores being in the ring.

Other amazing news from this show was for Elvis’s daughter Alkira Rooibos Valentine who won the Junior and went on to take Best of Breed, Best Puppy, Hound Group 4 (against the grown ups), Hound Puppy Group 1 and amazingly once again she went Best Puppy in Show for the second time – and qualified for Crufts 2023!

May 22nd 2021 – Practice show held at TWDCS Ringcraft
This past weekend we got the opportunity to have a practice run in the lead up to shows resuming. 30 people (the maximum allowed under protocols) and about 45 dogs came together for an impromptu dress rehearsal which was not only a great way to get the dogs back in the ring but to also allow the puppies to get used to the noises and hanging about that a show day comes with. We are pleased to say Elvis was his awesome self as always and came away the winner of his Post Graduate class. Fingers crossed this is a prediction of other shows to come!
