Luna is in fact only 2 days younger than Lily and so they are incredible close.
Luna was actually sold but ended up being returned to her breeder at 6 months due to no fault of her own. This worked out brilliantly for her as she ended up with us and had fallen in love with our 16yr old son and has fully decided he is her human! She is a beautiful young bitch who is very correctly put together and with loose athletic paces.
Luna’s sire was bred by Katarzyna Sapierzynsja of Krolewska Graja beagles in Poland. He was imported to the UK by Tevelen Beagles and gained his stud book number and qualified for Crufts for life.
Luna’s dam Franny was bred by Christine Lewis of Fallowfield Beagles and owned by Elisabeth Edge of Jalhar Beagles. She is a super bitch who has now retired from breeding but in her time has produced quality stud dogs and show ring winners
Luna started in the show ring in August 2021. She went to the Horley & District Canine Society Open Show on her 2nd outing on 29th August and thrilled us all by not only winning her class and Best Puppy in breed but she then went on to win the Hound Puppy Group 1! PG1, Whitton’s Beagle, Jalhar New Lease of Life with Haggatty, petite young bitch with a very pretty feminine head, dark eye and soft expression; well balanced and constructed all through and this showed in her movement, strong behind, clean in front but especially good in profile, really free and active.
In November 2022 we welcomed Luna’s first litter of pups which were sired by Elvis. This is a pairing we have planned for a long time and we were not disappointed! All girls, we were spoilt for choice however in the end we decided to retain a tricolour bitch pup who we have called Haggatty Callisto aka Phoebe.

29th August 2021. HORLEY & DISTRICT OPEN SHOW. 1st Puppy and Best Puppy in Breed under Judge Celia Mortlock. A compact, well bodied 7 month old bitch with correct proportions. Typical feminine head with dark eyes, correct length and set of ears. Melting expression. Good length of neck running into well laid shoulders. Well ribbed up. Level top line standing and on the move. Well bent stifles. Moved with some reach and drive. Footfall could be a little more positive.
10th September 2021. RICHMOND CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW. 2nd Minor Puppy under Judge Lee Cox. Whitton’s Jalhar New Lease of Life with Haggatty, tri girl who although today not in the same stage of maturity, pleases for type and has everything in the right place. Time is on her side.
3rd October 2021. BECKENHAM CANINE ASSOCIATION OPEN SHOW. 2nd Puppy under Judge Vikki Cook. Quality bitch with lovely head and expression. Moved gaily and was full of personality. Pleasing outline, good depth, spring of rib and powerful loin. Should grow on well.
20th November 2021. THE BEAGLE CLUB ANNUAL OPEN SHOW. 1st Puppy under Judge Patsy Hollings. Whitton, Jalhar New Lease Of Life With Haggatty. Ultra feminine pretty headed girl with pleasing outlook. Flowing neck and level topline, standing and moving. Stood on good legs. Well presented. Held it all together going round, just not as good, as previous class winner going away today.
6th March 2022. FOLKESTONE, HYTHE & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW. 2nd Junior under Judge Lisa Tyler-Jackson.
Another most appealing young tri bitch, compact, feminine and sound all through. A little less relaxed and not striding out as well as I have seen her do, in this small ring, but she is a quality youngster and will have better days.
15th May 2022. GRAVESEND & MEDWAY TOWN CS OPEN SHOW. 2nd Junior Bitch under Judge Ian Shadbolt. Whitton’s Jalhar New lease of life with Haggatty Tri bitch of 16 months, again well put together, correct dentition, good head planes, good ear carriage, clean neck into well laid shoulders, level top line which she held on the move, correct tail set moved well.
9th July 2022. EAST OF ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW. 2nd Yearling Bitch under judge Tim Jones. Jalhar New Lease of Life with Haggatty (Whitton) Tri. Good pigment, well set ears, dark kind eye giving a good expression, feminine with a larger frame than 1. Level topline, good tailset.
19th February 2023. KENT COUNTY CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW. 1st Post Graduate under Judge Gillian Mitchelson. Whitton’s Jalhar New Lease Of Life With Haggatty. Beautifully balanced bitch of just two years of age. She won this class on her movement. Very well proportioned with correct level topline. Lovely head, ear and tail carriage.
5th March 2023. FOLKESTONE, HYTHE & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW. 1st in Post Graduate under Judge Rebecca Johnson. Whitton’s Jalhar Near Lease of Life With Haggatty. Good overall balance. Head of good length with slightly domed skull. Well laid shoulder and corresponding return of upper arm. Level topline. Short couplings. Strong hindquarters. Moved accurately fore and aft with good drive when viewed in profile.
18th March 2023. GUILDFORD & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW. 1st in Post Graduate under Judge David Knights. Whitton’s Jalhar New Lease of Life with Haggatty. 2 year old tri colour bitch withy lovely head and expression, super front and bone and excellent feet. Nice compact loin with good length of rib and a lovely topline. Excellent mover.
25th March 2023. THE BEAGLE CLUB OPEN SHOW. 1st in Graduate Bitch under Judge Sharon Hardisty. Whitton’s Jalhar New Lease Of Life With Haggatty, 2 yr old compact tri girl of a pleasing size, well shaped head with good depth to muzzle and soft expression, balanced angulation with good bone, sound mover, excelled in profile movement.
30th April 2023. DEVON, CORNWALL & SW BEAGLE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW. 2nd in Graduate Bitch under Judge Emily Thornton. Whitton’s Jalhar New Lease Of Life With Haggatty. Tri-colour shown in a good condition with nothing exaggerated, just as it should be. Good bone and moved well. Level topline held on movement.
14th May 2023. GRAVESEND & MEDWAY TOWN CANINE SOCIETY OPEN SHOW. 1st in Open & BOB under Judge Jane Paradise. Well boned girl, gorgeous eyes, ex pigment on nose, lips and eye rims. Feet well knuckled. Ex angles front and rear and moved with purpose. BOB & HG4.
25th February 2024. KENT COUNTY CANINE ASSOCIATION OPEN SHOW. 1st in Open & RBOB under Judge Debbie Felstead. Whitton’s Jalhar New Lease of Life with Haggatty. Dam of above. Similar stamp but smaller all through. Pretty head with lovely dark eye and super expression. Well laid back shoulders and good ribbing with nice short coupling. Well balanced all round, but not quite the movement of my winner today – though pushed her daughter hard all the way.
